Frágil was founded in Brazil, in 2011, and implemented in Spain, in 2012, by Ana Santos, its Founder. We operate in the North of Africa, Spain, Balkans Countries, England and in the USA. Frágil has mobilised approximately 1000 volunteers per year, reaching, approximately 1000 students through preventative actions executed in the Moroccan Atlas region.
Our objectives are:
Established as a non-profit organization in Málaga, Spain, on May 6, 2014, Frágil began its work in a city known as the gateway to Europe—a destination for many seeking a better life, particularly from Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. However, due to various factors, including vulnerability and lack of resources, many individuals become easy targets for exploitation and trafficking.
Frágil launched its mission with two key programs: Unforgettable Voice, an intervention initiative in Málaga’s industrial areas, where prostitution is in high demand and openly offered on the streets, and Educate to Protect, an awareness and prevention program introduced in the village of Tidili, nestled in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Within a few months, the intervention program expanded to the city of Marrakech and the women’s prison in Rabat.
Over the span of seven years, Frágil mobilized hundreds of outreach teams—ranging from medical professionals to performing artists—who worked alongside our awareness and prevention programs in schools, communities, and even the most remote villages.
Today, Frágil continues to grow beyond Spain and Morocco, establishing task forces in Brazil, the USA, Pakistan, Bosnia, and Derby (UK), which now serves as our home base.
Our vision is to create a path to freedom for the invisible and exploited. We dream of a world where not a single person is enslaved.
The heart of Frágil lies in its volunteers—individuals ready to use their skills and passions as agents of transformation. There is a place here for those who seek to flourish and help others do the same.
We invite you to join our Training of Trainers program. May you be equipped and inspired to step into this mission and become part of one of our dedicated task force teams.
